Balls. Budget. Both.
What’s it take to make an effective advertising campaign? Whenever I am asked that question, I respond (if only in my head), “Balls, budget, or both.” If you’ve got balls, then I can help you reach audiences with unusual messaging, tactics, etc. If you’ve got budget, then I can help you reach audiences with solid messaging that benefits from significant reach and frequency. If you’ve got both – wait a minute, I’m hyperventilating – then we’ve got a home run waiting to be hit. So whether you sit on the client or agency side, be sure to ask yourself, “Do we have balls, budget, or both?” If the answer is no on all counts, be sure to manage your expectations…and keep them on the low side.
