Kia just launched a commercial for its Optima model. The spot is called cookie cutter…and, unfortunately, the spot is cookie cutter. Other than having the voice of Christopher Walken narrating, there’s very little interesting about this spot, which is intended to show how different the Kia Optima is from its competitors. It’s a shame, really. The potential for fun is baked in to an ad that calls itself cookie cutter – but the possible tongue-in-cheekiness is lost if the commercial doesn’t clearly display the brand as being anything but.
