Much like Happy Days birthed Mork & Mindy, viral videos offer spin-offs on another screen. Take “Talking Babies,” for instance. The conversation and gestures of these twin babies have been viewed by 53 million+ people. It’s amazing and entertaining. And spoofable – aka, spin-off-able. That’s exactly what “Twin Baby Boys Have a Conversation All Grown Up” has done, and 3.5 million people have tuned in to see it. It’s no Jeffersons, but it’s not bad, considering many brands would pay big bucks to have 3.5 million views of their videos. Something to think about as we marketers enter into a new year and a new dawn of YouTube possibilities.
